Deep Fun NYC

Deep Fun NYC is a two‑hour, facilitator‑led “playshop” that uses high‑energy physical games and exercises—drawn from theater, clowning, and improvisation—to stimulate collective joy, vulnerability, and self‑inquiry. Participants move through four categories of play (collective, competitive, pair, and individual) to experience peak fun, shared purpose, and the phenomenon of collective effervescence in an intergenerational, sliding‑scale environment.

Key points:

  • Facilitated Physical Play – Guided, high‑energy activities leveraging the facilitator’s performance and clowning background to break adult inhibitions and foster communal engagement.
  • Structured Play Categories – A loose framework of collective play, collective competition, pair play, and individual play ensures varied dynamics and sustained energy.
  • Collective Effervescence – Intentional pursuit of shared peak experiences to build a sense of harmony, connection, and well‑being among participants.
  • Reflective Self‑Inquiry – Alternating play with moments of reflection to explore physical pleasure, thrill, and vulnerability as tools for community‑building.
  • Intergenerational & Open Invite – Inclusive design welcoming ages 10 and up, promoting diversity of perspectives and mutual learning.
  • Sliding‑Scale Pricing – Tiered fee structure ($20–40) to make the experience accessible while sustaining the facilitator’s practice.
